Welcome and thanks for visiting our website!

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website!

We like to think of diversityinbusiness.com as an Internet magazine that celebrates the advancement of diverse people, especially minorities and women; and as a forum to promote initiatives that develop, utilize, and expand the resources of diverse and emerging communities.

diversityinbusiness.com is an independent publication of Genlight Por EL, Inc., and is produced in association with GPL Enterprises, LLC.  Genlight Por EL, Inc. is a Chicago-based information and communication service provider, and GPL Enterprises, LLC is a development company. I founded both companies to support minority business development.

We are working hard to establish diversityinbusiness.com as a preferred resource for emerging individuals and organizations, for corporations and government agencies that have strong commitments to diversity, and for young people seeking educational and career opportunities.

I invite you to share in our growth, by becoming a free subscriber.  When you subscribe, we will send you notices of updates to our site.  We respect your privacy and We will not sell your information to third parties. We will use your Email address for notification purposes only.

Our Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the establishment of a more progressive world by increasing awareness and understanding -- both within and between communities.

Our Approach

In diversityinbusiness.com, we explore issues of diversity, entrepreneurship, corporate outreach, education, community development, culture and more.  We endeavor to provide timely information that contributes to the development of diverse communities and increases awareness of that development.

Our features, departments and commentaries provide information that is useful to a broad range of communities.  We present stories on outreach and diversity efforts by corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.  In many cases, these stories represent "best-practices." It is our hope that others will emulate the success of those who lead with diversity programs and community outreach.  We also like to acknowledge innovative approaches, processes and products developed by small and emerging businesses, including businesses that are not minority or women owned.  We also welcome opportunities to feature collaborations between diverse communities.

We believe societies do well when decisions are based on solid principles and respect for individual and collective relationships.  We often advance this view in our commentaries, but we are equally willing to mix things up.  We will continue to feature professional insights from industry leaders, and from time to time, offer perspectives of "everyman or woman" on the street.

It is our desire to provide you with interesting stories that leave you well informed and perhaps enlightened.  We like hearing hear from you, our readers.  So, please feel free to let us know what you think of our stories and our website.  To contact us, click here or use the "Contact Us" button on the sidebar index.
