Every
artist needs a little edge to make it
professionally; and Caiphus
Moore is no exception. Whenever the
former video game designer attends an opening
for his work, he likes to wear a
T-shirt bearing his logo, which consists of a circled "C" and
"M" - the initials of his name.
"If I were a
superhero ... this is what I would wear,"
declared Moore as he looked down,
approvingly, at his T-shirt. "When I
do my art shows or have an opening (and put this
T-shirt on), I feel I'm no longer Caiphus Moore,
I'm now CAIHPHUS the ARTIST," he continued in a
dramatic voice that mimicked the announcers for cartoon
superheroes.
While Moore uses
his logo to "brand" his work, his primary
interest is in exploring various components
of human relationships.
For the Collabo
exhibit, which runs through January 20, 2007 at the
Broward County Main Library, located in
the heart of the arts and entertainment district
of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Moore developed four
paintings that comprise The
BUBBLE Series.

"My artwork is
constantly growing and evolving, just like my
physical self," stated Moore in the Collabo
brochure. "It is a blend of my selective
past mixed with my present thoughts; thus
allowing my subject matter to emerge through
love and experience."
Moore is a man who
experiences life with great passion. His work reflects a range of
emotions from his own experiences as well as
those of others. "I love the constant duel
within human relationship and I find myself
compelled to tell that story without being too
direct. I enjoy creating art that holds a
double meaning; one for the viewer and one for
myself; in-between the meaning is where I feel
the freest," he continued.
Moore, who is of
Trinidadian descent, sat down with

about his art and his emergence as a artist-entrepreneur. To see a video clip of
