Melinda Emerson has been gaining a lot of attention in recently months.  Emerson is President of Quintessence Entertainment, Inc., a full-service multimedia and event production company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Emerson founded Quintessence Entertainment in 1999, and after a successful career as a broadcaster.  She and her staff have worked with major corporate clients, and their success in exceeding expectations has earned Emerson considerable recognition.  Emerson was recently named a finalist for the 2003 Black Enterprise Small Business Awards in the "Rising Star of the Year"  category.  The winner will be announced in May.

In February 2003, Emerson graced the cover of Minorities and Women in Business magazine.  The cover story, entitled, "Women Who Make A Difference," showcased women from across the country who have had remarkable success in various industries.  Emerson was also profiled as a business leader on WB17 news for Black History Month.

Quintessence Entertainment specializes in taking an idea from concept to screen, and everything in between.  The company slogan is "We're in the Business of Helping People Communicate Their Ideas."  The firm develops high quality audio, video, and interactive marketing tools for broadcast or business use. The core business services are film/video production, graphic design, interactive design, marketing consulting, and event production.  Clients include Verizon, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Republican National Convention, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, Citizens Bank, NBA Players Association and Comcast.  Quintessence Entertainment's goal is to provide clients with cost-effective marketing products that convey their message accurately and compellingly.
