Marine Killed in Ninewa Province

Capt. Warren A. Frank, 26, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died November 25 while supporting combat operations in Ninewa Province, Iraq. Frank was assigned to the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liasion Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.

Soldier Dies from Non-Combat Related Incident

1st Lt. William K. Jernigan, 35, of Doraville, Georgia, died November 24 in Baqubah, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.  Jernigan was assigned to Headquarters Company, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.


Soldier Killed by an Iraqi Security Force Soldier

Master Sgt. Anthony Davis, 43, of Deerfield, Florida, died November 24 in Baaj, Iraq, after being shot by an Iraqi Security Force soldier while he was conducting a dismounted humanitarian food drop.  Davis was assigned to the Military Transition Team, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Serviceman Killed While Attempting to Rescue Fellow Soldier

Sgt 1st Class Miguel A. Wilson, 36, of Bonham, Texas, died November 21 in Abu Sayf, Iraq, of injuries sustained during a rescue attempt of another soldier while their unit was conducting a dismounted reconnaissance mission. Wilson was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

Soldier Dies from Non-Combat Related Incident

Pvt. Charles Yi Barnett, 19, of Bel Air, Maryland, died on November 20 of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident in Tallil, Iraq.  Barnett was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Marine Dies from Non-Hostile Incident in Anbar Province

Gunnery Sgt. Marcelo R. Velasco, 40, of Miami, died November 19 from injuries sustained in a non-hostile incident in Anbar Province, Iraq. Marcelo was assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, I MEF, Camp Pendleton, California.

Two Soldiers Killed in Helicopter Crash

Two soldiers died November 15 in Mosul, Iraq, when their OH-58 Kiowa helicopter crashed while on a mission over Mosul.  Killed were:

Chief Warrant Officer Donald V. Clark, 37, of Memphis, Tenn.  Clark was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force 49, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Chief Warrant Officer Christian P. Humphreys, 28, of Fallon, Nev.  Humphreys was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force 49, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Marine Killed in Anbar Province

Cpl. Aaron M. Allen, 24, of Buellton, California, died November 14 while supporting combat operations in Anbar Province, Iraq. Allen was assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California.

LA Guard Member Killed by IED

Spc. Jonnie L. Stiles, 38, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, died November 13 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.  Stiles was assigned to the 927th Engineer Company (SAPPER), 769th Engineer Battalion, Louisiana Army National Guard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Soldier Dies from Injuries Received in Vehicle Roll-Over in Baghdad

Spc. Armando A. De La Paz, 21, of Riverside, California, died November 13 in Baghdad, of injuries sustained during a vehicle roll-over. De La Paz was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.


 ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

AR Guard Member Killed in Vehicle Accident

Spc. James M. Clay, 25, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, died November 13 in Anbar Province, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Clay was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th Brigade Combat Team, Arkansas Army National Guard, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Two U.S. Soldiers Killed by an Iraqi Soldier

Two soldiers died November 12 in Mosul, Iraq, when an Iraqi Army soldier wearing a uniform approached them and opened fire. Killed were:

Sgt. Jose Regalado, 23, of Los Angeles. Regalado was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

Spc. Corey M. Shea, 21, of Mansfield, Massachusetts. Shea was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

IED Claims Soldier in Baghdad

Staff Sgt. Timothy H. Walker, 38, of Franklin, Tennessee, died November 8 in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Walker was assigned to the 64th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Soldier Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident in Kirkuk

Pfc. Theron V. Hobbs, 22, of Albany, Georgia, died November 6 in a motor vehicle accident in Kirkuk, Iraq. Hobbs was assigned to the 572nd Engineer Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.

Soldier Dies from a Non-Combat Incident

Spc. Adam M. Wenger, 27, of Waterford, Michigan, died November 5 in Tunnis, Iraq, of injuries sustained during a non-combat incident. Wenger was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 76th Field Artillery, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.
