Sgt. Daniel W. Wallace,
27, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, died October 31 in
Badin Kheyl, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered
when insurgents attacked his unit using small
arms fire. Wallace was assigned to the 201st
Engineer Battalion, Kentucky Army National Guard
in Cynthiana, Kentucky. |

Soldier Dies from Non-Combat Related Incident
Pfc. Bradley S. Coleman,
24, of Martinsville, Virginia, died October 29
at Qayyarah Airfield, Iraq, of injuries
sustained from a non-combat related incident.
Coleman was assigned to the 51st Transportation
Company, Mannheim, Germany.
Soldier Dies in Balad from Non-Combat Related
Incident

Sgt. Scott J. Metcalf,
36, of Framingham, Massachusetts, died October
29, in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a
non-combat related incident. Metcalf was
assigned to the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry
Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st
Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. |

Marine Killed in Combat in Helmand Province

1st Lt. Trevor J. Yurista,
32, of Pleasant Valley, New York, died October
27 while supporting combat operations in Helmand
Province, Afghanistan. Yurista was assigned to
5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I
Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton,
California.

Two Soldiers Killed by Suicide Bomber
Two soldiers
died October 27 in Baghlan, Afghanistan, of
wounds suffered when a suicide bomber detonated
explosives as they were preparing to enter a
building.
Killed were:
Sgt. Nicholas A. Casey,
22, of Canton, Ohio, who was assigned to the 3rd
Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne),
Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Sgt. Kevin D. Grieco,
35, of Bartlett, Illinois, who was assigned to
the 2nd Battalion, 122nd Field Artillery,
Illinois Army National Guard, Sycamore,
Illinois. |

Pfc.
Cody J. Eggleston, 21, of Eugene,
Oregon, died October 24 at the National in
Bethesda, Maryland, of wounds suffered on

indirect fire. Eggleston was assigned to the
1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st
Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division,
Fort Wainwright, Alaska. |

Sgt. Brian P. Hause, 29, of Stoystown,
Pennsylvania, died October 23 of non-combat
related medical causes at Balad Air Base, Iraq.

Maintenance Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, South
Carolina. |

Two Marines Killed in Helmand Province
Two Marines
died October 22 while supporting combat
operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Killed were:

Cpl. Adrian Robles,
21, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Robles was
assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment,
1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary
Force, Twentynine Palms, California.

Lance Cpl. San Sim,
23, of Santa Ana, California, died October 22
while supporting combat operations in Helmand
Province, Afghanistan. Sim was assigned to 1st
Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, I
Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms,
California.
NY Guard Member Killed by IED
Spc. Deon L. Taylor,
30, of Bronx, New York, died October 22 in Bela
Beluk, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his
vehicle encountered an improvised explosive
device. Taylor was assigned to the 27th Infantry
Brigade Combat Team, New York Army National
Guard, Syracuse, New York. |

Rocket-Propelled Grenade Kills Soldier

Capt. Robert D. Lindenau,
39, of Camano Island, Washington, died October
20 in Charbagh, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered
when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his
vehicle. Lindenau was assigned to the 91st Civil
Affairs Battalion, 95th Civil Affairs Brigade
(Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was
deployed to Afghanistan in support of
Operation Enduring Freedom, serving as a
civil affairs team leader with the 91st
CA Bn. Lindenau is survived by his wife,

Command, San Diego, California.
Enemy Fire Claims Soldier in Karangol Village
Sgt. John M. Penich,
25, of Beach Park, Illinois, died October 16 in
Karangol Village, Afghanistan, of wounds
suffered from indirect fire. Penich was assigned
to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment,
3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division,
Fort Hood, Texas.
