Management's Perspective:

Jerry Reinsdorf
Chairman, Owner
Chicago White Sox
“Our organization-wide commitment to
diversity has allowed us to develop
partnerships with some of the very
best businesses in the Chicago area.
Members of our Diverse Business
Partners program not only help us
meet and exceed fan expectations,
they also strengthen our
relationships with important
communities throughout the Chicago
area. I am especially pleased that
this year, the White Sox have
selected Altavista Graphics as one
of America’s Best Diverse
Suppliers.”

The DBP Program Administrator's
Perspective:

Michael Spidale
Purchasing Director
Chicago White Sox
"One
of the commodities the Chicago White
Sox purchase at high volumes is
printing. This includes brochures,
posters, newsletters, pocket
schedules, calendars etc. It
is very important that we receive
good service, high quality, on time
delivery, and competitive pricing
for all the printing purchased. In
2008 we received this on numerous
print jobs awarded to Alta Vista
Graphics. We are happy to recognize
Alta Vista Graphics as one of
America’s Best Diverse Suppliers.
Alta Vista Graphics made a cold-call
to the White Sox inquiring whether
they could be considered and
included on our print bids. A
meeting was set up to discuss our
needs and their capabilities. We
were impressed with their
presentation and arranged for a
visit of their facility. Again, we
were impressed.
Usually the first jobs we award to
new printers are smaller, lower
quantity jobs so we can get a idea
of how they perform. We were so
comfortable with Alta Vista that we
awarded them a job for 40,000 Fan
Appreciation Day posters. They
performed so well that more jobs
were awarded to them.
In 2008 Alta Vista printed 14
different print jobs for the White
Sox. They also have become one of
the main printers used for the
Chicago White Sox/Chicago Bulls
Training Academy and currently print
all of their miscellaneous program
brochures.
With their outstanding service,
pricing, and quality Alta Vista is a
highly-valued supplier of the
Chicago White Sox.
