Senior Management's Perspective:
Mike Plant
Executive Vice President,
Business Operations
Atlanta BRAVES
"The
Atlanta Braves and Turner Field are committed to expanding business
opportunities and strengthening our supplier database with diverse
vendors. Our policy is to actively seek out vendors and contractors
that can supply the commodities needed for us to achieve our overall
business goals and objectives.
Mr.
William Battle was selected for this program because of his tenured
relationship with the Atlanta Braves organization and because he and
his company exemplify the true meaning of business partnership. For
over 10 years, Battle and Battle Distributors has provided the
Atlanta Braves with batteries and janitorial supplies. Mr. Battle
has also been a Braves season tickets holder for the past several
years. We appreciate his business as he appreciates ours."

DBP Program Administrator's
Perspective:
Sabrina Jenkins
Director, Special Events
Atlanta BRAVES
DBP Program Administrator
"Battle & Battle Distributors is a
wholesale distributor of batteries
and janitorial supplies. Over the
last 19 years, Mr. Battle has
developed a reputation as an
innovative leader in his field. He
has received numerous accolades and
recommendations from manufacturers,
and is a major distributor for
Duracell, Rayovac and Energizer. We
are pleased to select Battle &
Battle Distributors, Inc. as the
first Diverse Business Partner
recognized by the Atlanta Braves as
one of America's Best Diverse
Suppliers®.
The Atlanta Braves Supplier
Diversity Program was established in
1994; and was the first supplier
diversity initiative within TBS,
Inc. Since that time, the program
has been administered through the
Braves’ parent company. After the
sale of the team to Liberty Media in
2007, our supplier diversity program
was redesigned. The most significant
change came in 2008, when we
introduced our supplier diversity
website, which allows vendors to
register with us directly. William
Battle was among the first to use
the website to register with us,
further demonstrating his commitment
to stay connected and to continue to
supply the Braves organization with
a quality product at a competitive
price."

holds each department accountable for actively seeking out and
building business relationships with minorities and women owned
businesses.
Diverse suppliers are encouraged to notify the Braves about
their capacity to service our procurement needs. The list
